6.2.7 Pulsed Wave Doppler (PW)
PW Doppler is typically used for displaying the speed, direction, and spectral content of blood
flow at information.

Using PW Doppler
1.
Touch
2D
on the user interface to start B-Mode.
2. Optimize the B-Mode image.
3. Touch PW on the user interface to start PW Doppler Mode.
4. The
PW Main
menu appears.

To change PW Gain rotate the 2D-button (only in run mode).

PW Menu
Display Format Select the desired display format.
RT Trace Real Time Trace on/off
Angle
Angle correction. The blood flow velocity calculation based on the incident angle of
the ultrasound onto the axis of the vessel can be determined this way.
Cine #
Select the desired Cine #.
Speed
Changes the speed at which the timeline is swept.
2D Mode
