10.2.3 Generic Volume Measurements
Note
To re-adjust a previously set measure point, press the upper trackball key (Change) before
completing a measurement. This will alternate the control from one cursor to the other. This
applies to all measurements listed below.
Ellipse
To measure the volume of an ellipse:
1. Select
Ellipse
. The measurement cursor appears.
2. Position the first point of the long axis of the ellipse with the trackball and fix it with
Set
.
3. Position the second point of the long axis of the ellipse with the trackball and press
Set
.
4. Adjust the length of the short axis with the trackball and fix it with
Set
. The volume (D1:
long axis, D2: short axis, VOL: Volume) is displayed.
Ellipse 1Dist
To measure the volume of an ellipse with the help of a distance:
1. Select

. The measurement cursor appears.
2. Position the starting point with the trackball and fix it with

3. Position the second point with the trackball and fix it with

. An ellipse defined by these
two points appears.
4. Adjust the width of the ellipse if necessary and press Set. the result is displayed.
Note
If using single image mode, make the first measurement, eclipse. Then, press Freeze to return
to scan mode and scan the second image. Press Freeze again for the new cursor to appear
and perform step 5 on the second image.
5. Perform the measurement of the distance. The volume (D1: long axis, D2:shor axis,
D3:distance, Vol:Volume) is displayed.

To measure a volume based on a single distance:
