a. Use the drop-down button to select the first criteria for the rule.
• Formed particles for microscopy,
• Analytes for chemistry,
• Last name, first name, age, gender, or location for
demographics.
b. Use the drop-down button to select the logic sign. The following
are available:
<= (Less than
or equal to)
>= (Greater than
or equal to)
!= (Not equal to)
c. Use the drop-down button to select the specific value. Values are
pre-populated from the user-defined settings. See Chapter 3 –
Setup. If the drop-down button is not available, use the keyboard
to enter a specific value.
Adding More Conditions to a Rule
1. To enter more conditions, click the Add Condition button. The Add
Condition screen is displayed.
2. Select the condition number before which a new condition will be
inserted. Only one condition can be selected. Click the OK button.
3. Using the drop-down button, select the first criteria for the new
condition: AND/OR; and then repeat step 5 from Adding one
Condition. Below is an example of a Rule Condition.
Deleting a Condition from a Rule
1. To delete a condition, click the Delete Conditions button. The Delete
Conditions screen is displayed.
2. Select the condition(s) to suppress, and then click the OK button.
