Preparing Sample Racks
1. Apply barcode labels to sample tubes,
placing the start of the barcode (not
the barcode label), approximately ½
inch below the top of a 16x100mm
tube or just below the flare of a Kova
or Kova-like tube.
2. Transfer at least 2.0 mL of well mixed,
native urine into the barcoded tubes.
You may add more if needed, but do not exceed the maximum
volume indicated based on the tube type.
3. Place the barcode labeled tubes in the sample racks.
Barcode Labels
Barcodes accepted are Code 128, Code 39, Codabar and Interleaved 2
of 5 (I 2 of 5).
NOTE: Make sure the barcode labels are properly oriented in the rack.
The sample tubes must be placed straight and resting in the middle of the
grommets located in the base of the rack.
