Upgrading Model 831 Firmware
G4 is used to implement the firmware upgrade and perform
the following steps:
Step 1 Connect the Model 831 to the PC or laptop via the
USB cable CBL138, which is part of the PSA029 power
supply, and launch G4.
Step 2 Before securing connection, navigate File >
Upgrade Firmware or Options.
Step 3 Select your meter, click Connect.
Step 4 After communication has been established, the
Instrument Manager, shown in FIGURE 26-1. will appear.
