3.24 Paper setting change
Paper settings will be changed from Letter size to A4 size.
This mode allows the following functions to enable:
Paper setting change mode ON OFF
Default scan size for Copy/Scan/Fax(ADF) Auto Auto
Default zoom ratio for copy(ADF) 100% 100%
Default paper size for copy (ADF) 1st cassette Auto
Default scan size for Copy/Scan/Fax(FBS) A4 Letter
Default zoom ratio for copy(FBS) Auto 100%
Default paper size for copy (FBS) 1st cassette Auto
Available paper size in cassette Letter, Legal, Half-Letter R,
A4, A5 R, F4
Letter, Legal, and Half-Letter R
Available scan size Letter, Legal, Half-Letter R,
A4, A5 R, F4
Letter, Legal, and Half-Letter R
1. Press <Mode>, <*>, <3>, <5> .
2. Select [ON], and press [Enter].
NOTE
If you want the image of received fax in A4 R size not cut at both end, change unique switch 56 bit 1 to “1”.
“STOPPER END GUIDE” for A4 (DA7-35314-6X) is needed when A4 paper is used in the cassette.
This mode will be “OFF” by “All RAM clear” ( <Mode>, <*>, <0>, <3>) operation.
When this mode is enabled, note that operation will be as followed:
COPY
• A4 document will be copied on A4 paper when zoom is 100% and A4 paper is set.
• Letter document will be copied on A4 paper with rear area blank when zoom is 100% and A4 paper is
set.
• A4 document will be copied on Letter paper with rear image cut off when zoom is 100% and Letter pa-
per is set.
• Letter document will be copied on Letter paper when zoom is 100% and Letter paper is set
SCAN
Default scan size is A4, however when the document is put in the ADF (automatic document feeder)
scan size will be set to “Auto” and it will be scanned at Letter width.
To scan the document size at A4 width, select the scan size when the document is in the ADF.
FAX
• Default scan size is A4, however when the document is put in the ADF (automatic document feeder)
scan size will be set to “Auto” and it will be scanned at Letter width.
• To scan the document size at A4 width, select the scan size when the document is in the ADF.
• When both A4 and Letter size paper are set, received fax will be printed on Letter paper.
