Setting a focus position for PreMF
Select [PreMF]
for AF mode, and press the INFO button.
Press the shutter button halfway to focus.
Focus can be adjusted by rotating the focus ring.
Press the OK button.
The focus distance for the preset focus point can be set using [Preset MF distance] in CCustom
Menud (P. 273).
The camera also focuses at the preset distance:
when turned on and
when you exit the menus to the shooting display.
Manual Focus Adjustment
When [S‑AFJ], [C‑AFJ], [MF], [C‑AF+TRJ], [PreMF], or [RAFJ] is selected for AF
mode, focus can be adjusted manually during exposures or while pictures are being taken in
[Sequential Low] mode.
In mode B (bulb), manual focus adjustment can be performed according to the option selected
for [Bulb/Time Focusing] (P. 318).
