Performing the sequential/self-timer shooting
Adjust settings for burst or self
-timer photography. Choose an option according to your subject.
Fix the camera securely on a tripod for self-timer shooting.
Press the gY button.
Rotate the front or rear dial to select a value.
Custom self-timer options can be viewed by pressing the INFO button.

Single
Single-frame advance. The camera takes one photo
each time the shutter butt
on is pressed all the way
down.

Sequential High
The camera takes photos at up to about 10fps while
the shutter button is held all the way down. Focus,
exposure, and white balance are locked at the values
for the first shot in each series.

Sequential Low
The camera takes photos at up to about 6fps while
the shutt
er button is held all the way down. You can
choose the frame advance rate and the maximum
number of shots in each series (P. 322). Focus and
exposure conform to the options selected for [KAF
Mode] (P. 118) and [KAEL/AFL] (P. 299). If [C‑AF]
or [C-AF+TR] is selected for [KAF Mode], the
camera will focus before each shot.

Y 12sec
The shutter is released 12s after the shutter button
is pr
essed all the way down. The self
-timer lamp will
light for about 10s and then start to flash about
2s before the shutter is released. The camera focuses
when the shutter button is pressed halfway.

Y 2sec
When the shutter button is pressed all the way down,
the self-timer lamp will start to flash and a photo will
be taken after about 2seconds. The camera focuses
when the shutter button is pressed halfway.
