When cutting replacement tubing, make sure each end is square to ensure proper
sealing in the connectors.
2.12.3 Solenoid valve
Electrical over air solenoids are used to control the pressurized air used throughout the
system. There are 9 solenoid valves mounted on a single manifold. Each solenoid valve
may be individually replaced should it become faulty. Follow the procedure below.
It is not necessary to remove the pneumatics assembly to replace a faulty solenoid valve.

Tools required
• #1 Philips screwdriver
Removal
1. Remove top cover, see section 2.1 "Mill covers" on page 94.
2. Disconnect the air supply line from the back of the mill.
The air line must be released of pressure prior to disconnecting the hose or damage
to the orange one-touch fitting can occur.
