Chapter B: Preventive maintenance
1 Scheduled maintenance
This chapter provides scheduled maintenance procedures for the Planmeca PlanMill 40
milling unit. In this chapter, instructions for the tasks to be performed on a scheduled basis
to keep the PlanMill 40 operating properly are given.
1.1 Tools required
User maintenance kits
There are few different maintenance kits available for procedures that should be
performed on a scheduled basis to keep the Planmeca PlanMill 40 operating properly, see
the figures below.

The user maintenance kit includes the following tools:
• Collet, chr 4.0 mm fabricated
• Allen collet tool assembly
• Stuck tool removal bar assembly
• Suction strainer 20 mesh, fabricated
• O-ring, adapter
• Cap wrench, quick release
• Curved collet wrench, quick release
• O-ring, large, cap
