2.2.8 Mounted accelerometer processor assembly
The purpose of the mounted accelerometer processor assembly is to monitor the mill
function and inform the operator when a grinding tool breaks. A secondary function of the
accelerometer processor is identification of the milling unit hardware configuration to
operating software and firmware. This assembly includes a PCBA (accelerometer
processor board) and 3 cables. The 3 cables are connected to the accelerometer
processor board, which is attached to a sheet metal bracket for mounting to the back of
the electronics box.
CAUTION
The accelerometer processor board has a jumper which must in placed in one of 3
positions depending upon the configuration of the milling machine in which it is
being installed. For PlanMill 40 move the jumper to the “A” position.
