8. Disengage the cables from the white plastic cable holders.
9. Grasp the cables firmly, close to cable connector attached to the accelerometer
sensor and very carefully disconnect the 2 connectors.
10. Use wire cutters to cut cable ties as needed to remove the 2 grey cables and the
accelerometer processor, bracket and USB cable from the milling unit. Pay attention
to the locations of the cable ties being removed and the routing of the cables as the
installation of the replacement cables will require the same routing and cable tie
configuration.
Install
1. Refer to the table 24 (Installer note) shown at the beginning of this section and verify
that the jumper on the replacement accelerometer processor is in the appropriate
position for the configuration of the milling unit.
2. Plug the 90 degree USB connector into the back of the electronics box.
3. Use the 2 Philips screws to secure the sheet metal bracket to the electronics box.
4. Refer to the Installer Note shown at the beginning of this section and route the 2 grey
cables to the correct accelerometer sensors.
5. Install new cable ties in place of those removed previously.
6. Connect the cable connectors to the accelerometer sensors.
7. Secure the cables in the white plastic cable holders and install the cable ties securing
the cable to the Sensor boards.
8. Mount the LCD touch display, replacing and cable ties that were removed to un-mount
it.
9. Reinstall covers on the milling unit.
Verify
1. Turn on the milling unit and wait for it to start the milling application.
2. Verify that the milling application starts and the mill initializes normally.
3. Contact Planmeca After Sales regarding possible need to cut a calibration job so that
Planmeca After Sales can evaluate tool break detection threshold settings for
possible adjustment.
2.2.9 Lower electronics box (E-box)
1. Remove the top cover and right side panel; see 2.1 "Mill covers" on page 94.
2. Power the milling unit down.
3. Be sure to switch off the power at the power entry module or unplug the power cord
before removing the power supply module.
4. Remove modules from E-box.
