11. Remove the cotter pin

, loosen the hub castle nut

and remove the cone washer

. Discard the cotter
pin, nut, and washer.
12.Remove the hub assembly.
13.Remove the lower shock fastener

14.Remove upper control arm pinch bolt.
15.Using a soft face hammer, tap on bearing carrier to
loosen the upper A-arm ball joint end while lifting
upward on the upper A-arm. Completely remove the
ball joint end from the bearing carrier.
16.Remove driveshaft from bearing carrier.
17.With a short, sharp jerk, remove drive shaft from the
front gearcase.
18.Repeat steps 10– 17 for the opposite side of the
vehicle.
19.Remove the gearcase vent line

from the gearcase.
Route the vent line out of the routing grommet

20.Remove the fastener

securing the gearcase
mounting plate to the chassis. Repeat step for
opposite side of the vehicle.
