18.Remove the fastener

securing the gearcase
mounting plate to the chassis. Repeat step for
opposite side of the vehicle.
19.Remove the two through bolts

securing the front
gearcase to the gearcase brackets. Remove the
gearcase brackets.
20.Remove the lower steering shaft pinch bolt

21.Loosen four mounting nuts

on the EPS mounting
bracket. Leave nuts loosely installed.
22.Remove lower steering shaft from the steering rack.
23.Remove steering rack from the right side of the
vehicle.
