102Operating Manual 1407.6062.32 ─ 08
The RF signal is configured and the analog modulations activated in the "RF/A Mod"
function block:
CW mode
see chapter 5.4.1, "Overview of RF Signal", on page 154
List mode
see chapter 5.4.15, "List Mode", on page 227
Sweep mode
see chapter 5.4.14.1, "Overview", on page 208
Analog modulations
see chapter 5.4.12.1, "Overview", on page 189
In the "I/Q-Mod" function block, I/Q modulation is possible with external analog signals
and internally generated baseband signals.
I/Q modulator
see chapter 5.5, "I/Q Modulation - I/Q Mod Block", on page 235
Noise can be added to the baseband signal and the baseband signal can be impaired
before input into the I/Q modulator. It is therefore possible to output a baseband signal
with impairments via the I/Q-OUT outputs ("AWGN/IMP" function block). Impairment is
also possible during I/Q modulation ("I/Q Mod" function block).
Impairing the signal
see chapter 5.6.1, "Impairments", on page 249
Adding noise
see chapter 5.6.2, "AWGN - Noise Generator", on page 257
The baseband signal is available at the I/O outputs.
Output of the baseband signal
see chapter 5.6.3, "Output of the Baseband Signal - I/Q Out", on page 264
Digital I/Q Output
see chapter 5.7, "Digital I/Q Output Settings", on page 267
The R&S Signal Generator offers various possibilities for generating digital modulation
signals in compliance with the definitions of digital standards or with characteristics which
can to a large extent be freely defined. The range of software options for this is being
extended continuously.
Baseband signals - Introduction
see chapter 5.8, "Baseband Signal - Baseband Block", on page 271
External Baseband signals
see chapter 5.9, "External Baseband Signal - Baseband Input", on page 384
Digital modulation
see chapter 5.8.3, "Digital Modulation - Custom Digital Modulation", on page 282
Arbitrary waveform generator ARB
see chapter 5.8.4, "Arbitrary Waveform Generator ARB", on page 323
Multi Carrier CW signals
see chapter 5.8.5, "Multi Carrier Continuous Wave", on page 370
Digital standard GSM/EDGE
see description "Digital Standard GSM/EDGE"
