The digitally modulated signal can either be output directly or converted to an analog I/
Q baseband output signal. The analog baseband signal can be output single-ended or
differential (non-inverted).
The analog signal is output at the I/Q output connectors I OUT/I OUT BAR and Q OUT/
Q OUT BAR on the rear panel of the instrument.
Equipped with option R&S SMBV-K18, Digital Baseband Connectivity, the instrument
also provides the output of the digital I/Q signal, indicated in the "BB In/Out" function
block. Refer to chapter 5.7, "Digital I/Q Output Settings", on page 267 for description.
5.6.3.1 I/Q Out Settings Menu
The settings dialogs for the analog signal output are available in the block diagram in the
"AWGN/IMP" function block as well as in the menu with the same name which is opened
using the MENU key.
Selecting the menu item "I/Q Out Settings" opens a dialog with the parameters for the I/
Q output signal.
The settings dialog for output of the digital signal is accessed in the "BB In/Out" function
block, see chapter 5.7, "Digital I/Q Output Settings", on page 267.
5.6.3.2 Analog I/Q Output
The differential output of the R&S Signal Generator provides symmetrical signals for dif-
ferential inputs of DUTs without the need of additional external electric network.
