Installing the Steering Column
The instal
lation is the reverse of the removal pro-
cedure. Ho
wever, pay attention to the following.
Carefully, drive steering column through steering
column support.
Make sure the locating grooves of the steering
column arm a re properly engaged in the steering
column as shown.

Tighten steering column arm screws to specifica-
tions.
TIGHTENING TORQUE
Steering column arm
screws
14 N•m ± 1 N•m
(124 lbf•in ±9lbf•in)
NOTICE
Ensure the head of the screws
touches the upper steering arm.
Ensure the steering system is working properly by
turning side to side.
Reinstall all removed parts using appropriate pro-
cedure.

1. Remove steering column, refer to

2. On each sides, remove both pivot bushings.
