When reinstalling rear exhaust hose, tighten
clamps to specification.

Reinstall all other removed parts.
After ins
tallation, ensure there is no water or ex-
haust gas
leak when the engine is running. Test
run the e
ngine while supplying water to the ex-
haust sy
stem.
NOTICE
Never run engine without supplying
water to the exhaust system when watercraft is
out of water.

Removing the Exhaust Pipe
Remove MUFFLER , see procedure in this subsec-
tion.
Disconnect water inlet hose from exhaust pipe fit-
ting.

Loosen rub
ber adapter clamps.
Remove exhaust pipe and the rubber adapter.
Inspectin

Inspect exhaust pipe for:
–Cracks
– Flange damages
– Other damages.
Replace exhaust pipe as required.
Check if t
he rubber adapter is:
– Brittle
–Hard
– Otherwi
se damaged.
Replace rubber adapter if necessary.
Install
ing the Exhaust Pipe
Install rubber adapter on muffler.
