2）Inspection and service
① Disk
Measure the lining thickness and replace if the
measurement is below the service limit.
Standard dimension Service limit
4.0 mm 3.7 mm
② Stator
Replace the stator if the lining-contact surface is
roughened or the difference of level height is more
than 0.1 mm.

0.1 mm
③ Check the brake cover, steel ball, brake cam, and
spring and replace defective ones.
3）Reassembly
Reassemble units in the reverse order taking care to the
following points.
● Installation of disk
Align the holes of the disk as far as possible (for
better oil lubrication).
● Coat the stator and disk with oil sufficiently.
