3. TROUBLESHOOTING
Condition Cause Remedy
1. Slippery clutch
(1) Does not speed up.
(2) Does not accelerate.
(3) Smell of burning facing.
(1) No clutch pedal play.
(2) Oil or grease stacked to the
facing.
(3)1 Broken wiring.
(3)2 Uneven wear or seizure of
pressure plate or flywheel.
(1) Adjust the play to 2030 mm on
pedal tread.
(2) Remove and clean or replace.
Correct oil leakage at the same
time.
(3)1 Replace the pressure plate
ass’y.
(3)2 Correct or replace.
2. Improper disengagement of clutch
(1) Sound of transmission gears.
(2) Tractor body moves even when
the clutch is depressed.
(1) Excessive play of clutch pedal.
(2)1 Excessive wear of clutch
components.
(2)2 Distortion of disk ass’y.
(2)3 Play generated due to wear
of pilot bearing.
(2)4 Uneven wear of disk hub
and drive.
(1) Adjust the play.
(2)1 Disassemble, check and
correct or replace if trouble is
noticed.
(2)2 Replace the disk ass’y.
(2)3 Replace the pilot bearing.
(2) 4 Replace the disc ass’y or
drive shaft.
3. Noise and vibration of clutch
(1) Noise and vibration of clutch.
(1) Fatigued damper spring.
(2) Loosened rivet of clutch facing.
(3) Wear or damage of release
bearing.
(4) Wear or damage of pilot bearing.
(5) Loosened bolts tightening each
part of clutch.
(1) Check and replace (disk ass’y).
(2) Check and replace (disk ass’y).
(3) Replace the release bearing.
(4) Replace the pilot bearing.
(5) Retighten the bolt.
