4. REASSEMBLY
NOTE:
Reassemble units generally in the reverse order to
disassembly. Assemble the main units in the following
procedure.
Assemble shafts and shifters in the order as shown in
the right figure.
1. Thrust washer
Install the thrust washer facing the oil groove towards
the gear.
2. Main shifter rod and fork
① Place the spring and steel ball into the transmission
case and install the shifter rod (1st-3rd) and fork.
NOTES：
1.
Install the shifter rod (1st
－
3rd) with a fork setting
hole at the center.
2.
Spring for the main transmission is shorter one and
the longer one is for 4WD.
3.
Install the fork after confirming that the steel ball
has been positively installed.
② Set the shifter rod (1st－3rd) at the neutral position
and install the balk pin to the case.
③ Place the shifter rod (2nd－R) into the transmission
case and install the fork.
④ Install the steel ball and spring to the transmission
case when installing the change lever case.
⑤ Drive the spring pins into the main shifter fork and
take care the slit direction of the spring pin to the
front or rear.
