5. HST UNIT
1）Disassembling
Reference Figure 372Y.
(1) Pump Removal
① Remove the socket head bolts (50) (4 pcs) and take out the pump case assembly (1) and gasket (33) from the port
block.
② Remove the valve plate (9) from the port block (3).
（The valve plate (9) is usually installed to the cylinder block (5) but may be installed to the port block side in some
cases.）
NOTE:
1.
Be careful not to drop the valve plate(9).
2. Raising one side of the valve plate (9) will facilitate its removal.
③ Remove the cylinder block assembly from the pump case (1).
NOTE：
Take care do not lost three pins (22) when removed cylinder block assembly.
④ Remove the thrust plate (59) from the swash plate (6).
（If the thrust plate is difficult to remove, pulling it up with an L-shaped bar will facilitate its removal.）
