Replacing the Pump Tubes
Pump tubes in Objet30 printers are replaced during periodic preventive
maintenance (see "Preventive Maintenance Tasks" on page 6-108). The
procedure consists of these steps:
A. Preparation
B. Replacing the Waste Pump Tube
C. Replacing the Support Pump Tube
D. Replacing the Model Pump Tube
E. Returning Printer to Working Order
Preparation
To replace the pump tubes:
1. Prepare the following tools and materials:
❒ key
❒ flat screwdriver
❒ protective gloves
❒ cleaning cloths
❒ wire cutter
❒ three replacement tubes and cable ties
The three tubes supplied in the kit are identical; they can be used in the
pumps described in this section.
2. Close the printer application.
3. Shut down the printer computer, wait 60 seconds after the monitor goes
blank, and turn off the main power switch.
Caution:
The monitor goes blank as soon as the remote link terminates—before
computer shut down.
Turning off the printer before the computer shutdown can cause damage.
