Low Power Generator – 50 Ohm impedance
The Low Power Generator can produce up to 5 V
RMS
and contains 50Ω source
impedance, therefore the maximum Test Signal which can be delivered depends
on the load connected to the source. The maximum Test Signal shall be;
V
out
= V
LPG
* [Z
Load
/ (Z
Load
+ R
50Ω
)]
Example:
An “R Test” to measure a component with a nominal resistance of 500Ω, the
maximum Test Signal that can be programmed is;
V
out
= 5V * [500
/ (500 + 50)] = 4.55 V
4.1.5. Measurement Circuits
The AT5600 tester contains a variety of circuits, capable of performing all the
following measurements:
• Voltages from less than 1mV to greater than 7000V
• Currents from nano-amps to amps
• DC and harmonic analysis
• RMS, mean-sense, wattage and VA analysis
Again, the processors select which is appropriate for each test as it is executed.
