5.2 Source and Sink Operations
As the output from the 6166 is bipolar, current source operation and partially current sink operation are
available.
The sink operation must be within the following operating zones. Otherwise, the internal circuits may be
damaged.
In Figure 5-6, the sink operating zone is up to 1.2 W. For example, the output voltage is up to +30 V at a
current sink of -40 mA.
CAUTION: Do not apply voltage of 2 V or higher from the outside in the divider voltage ranges that employ
resistive dividing output. The internal circuits may be damaged.
