5.3 HIGH VOLTAGE Indicator Operation and Output Status
5.3.1 HIGH VOLTAGE Indicator Operation
The HIGH VOLTAGE indicator on the front panel turns ON for safety when the voltage source value or
voltage limit value is set to 55 V or more.
5.3.2 Output Status at HIGH VOLTAGE Indicator ON
When setting such as range change or value change that turns ON the HIGH VOLTAGE indicator is made
during Operate status, the output status becomes Standby.
Also, when the limiter is activated, the output status becomes Standby.
NOTE: In the 6161-compatible operation, when the range is changed to the 1000 V range or the 1 mA or 10 mA
range of Option 20 during Operate status or when the limiter is activated in the 1000 V range or the
1 mA or 10 mA range of OPT6166+20, the output status becomes Standby.
5.3.3 Short Circuit at High Voltage Output
When voltage is output between the +OUTPUT terminal and the -OUTPUT terminal, be careful not to
short-circuit between them. If these terminals are short-circuited repeatedly especially at high voltage out-
put, the internal circuits may be damaged with stress or their characteristics may be deteriorated.
