4. Select voltage source and set to the 100 V range.
With  ZERO (minimum value: 10 V) and  Full Scale of the voltage limit set,
verify that the difference between the setting value and the DMM measured value
is within the accuracy described in Chapter 9, "SPECIFICATIONS."
Positive voltage limiter check: Voltage source +100 V
+ZERO voltage limit +10 V
+FULL voltage limit +50 V
Negative voltage limiter check: Voltage source -100 V
Current source -1 mA
-ZERO voltage limit -10 V
-FULL voltage limit -50 V
• Current source/limiter test
1. Connect the 6166 and a DMM as shown in Figure 8-1 (b).
2. Set the DMM to DCV, auto range and integration time of 10 PLC or longer.
3. Select current source.
With ZERO and  Full Scale generated in the 1 mA range to 100 mA range, ver-
ify that the difference between the source value and the DMM measured value is
within the accuracy described in Chapter 9, "SPECIFICATIONS."
4. Select voltage source and set to the 10 V range.
With  ZERO (minimum value: 1 mA) and  Full Scale of the current limit set,
verify that the difference between the setting value and the DMM measured value
is within the accuracy described in Chapter 9, "SPECIFICATIONS."
Positive current limiter check: Voltage source +10 V
+ZERO current limit +1 mA
+FULL voltage limit +100 mA
Negative current limiter check: Current source -10 V
-ZERO voltage limit -1 mA
-FULL voltage limit -100 mA
NOTE: If the result of this test does not fall within the accuracy specifications, cali-
brate the 6166 as outlined in Chapter 8, "CALIBRATION" or contact an
ADC CORPORATION sales representative for the calibration or servicing.
