– Install Assembly Carrier Locating Pins - T10300- in threads by
hand as far as -A- marking.
– Tighten the locating pins to 30 Nm while counterholding the
sleeve at the flat areas using an open-end wrench to prevent
it from turning.
Position of subframe is now secured.
– Place Scissor Lift Table - VAS6131- with Scissor Lift Table -
Q7 Set - VAS6131/13- under subframe.
Removal of Assembly Carrier Locating Pins - T10300- is per‐
formed in the reverse order of installation.
2.4 Subframe Bonded Rubber Bushing, Re‐
placing

♦ Torque Wrench 1332 40-200Nm - VAG1332-
♦ Engine/Gearbox Jack - VAG1383A- with Universal Transmis‐
sion Support - V.A.G 1359/2-
♦ Body Saw - VAG1523B-
♦ Hydraulic Press - VAS6178-
♦ Pneumatic/Hydraulic Foot Pump - VAS6179-
♦ Shop Crane - Drip Tray - VAS6208-
♦ Tensioning Strap - T10038-
♦ Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - T10205- , only for
rear bonded rubber bushing
♦ Hydraulic Press - Subframe Bushing Tool Kit - T10301-
Note
♦
Before replacing malfunctioning bushing, check other bush‐
ings as well.
♦
If tears, oil leaks or other damages are visible, these bushings
must also be replaced.
Pressing out the Bonded Rubber Mount
WARNING
Before loosening subframe bolts, secure vehicle against tip‐
ping over (e.g. load luggage compartment with approximately
50 kg).
– Remove the wheels.
– Mark position of crossmember on body using felt-tip pen.
