– Lower the wheel bearing housing -1- and tip outward until drive
axle -2- can be removed.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following when doing
so:

Coat outer CV joint splines with Assembly Paste before assembly.
– Install the outer joint as far as possible into the wheel hub
splines.
– Pull in drive axle until stop using Driveshaft Fitting Tool -
T10206- .
Note

Bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent.
Only tighten suspension screws when vehicle is in curb weight
or control position.

Wheel bearing, lifting to curb weight position on vehicles with
coil springs, refer to

For vehicles with air spring suspension, lift wheel suspension
in control position, refer to

– Tighten 12-point nut, refer to
