5.8 Steering Rack, Checking Center Posi‐
tion
– Perform steering centering based on instructions from align‐
ment computer.
– Check to ensure that the steering wheel is positioned as hor‐
izontally as possible on the steering column when the wheels
are in the “straight ahead” position.
– Reposition steering wheel if necessary.
Otherwise centering of toothed shaft cannot be guaranteed!
If steering wheel was repositioned, zero adjustment must be per‐
formed on the Steering Angle Sensor - G85- . -Vehicle Diagnostic
Tester- .

– Connect -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- and then perform vehicle-
specific entry into Guided Fault Finding and select Go To
