10 - Stabilizer Bar
❑ Removing and Installing, refer to ⇒ “2.5 Stabilizer Bar, Removing and Installing”, page 133 .
11 - Self-Locking Nut
❑ 100 Nm
❑ Always replace if removed.
12 - Bolt
❑ 90 Nm + 120°
❑ Always replace if removed.
5.2 Coil Spring Suspension Strut, Removing
and Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Torque Wrench 1332 40-200Nm - VAG1332-
♦ Wood block (hardwood) 30 x 50 x 1300 mm
Removing
– With vehicles with air suspension, place vehicle on hoist, refer
to ⇒ “4 Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels”, page 10 .
– Remove wheel.
– Remove suspension strut -arrows-.
– Insert wood block between underbody -arrow A- and rear up‐
per control arm -arrow B-.
Wood block is needed to press wheel bearing housing down.
