– Unclip control module -1-.
– Disconnect connector and remove control module.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
– If Tire Pressure Monitoring Control Module - J502- is replaced,
system must be coded, refer to
⇒ “4.5 Tire Pressure Monitoring System Usage”, page 242 .
4.4 Rear Tire Pressure Monitoring Antenna
- R96- , Removing and Installing
Removing
– Remove right underbody trim ⇒ Rep. Gr. 50
– Unclip Rear Tire Pressure Monitoring Antenna - R96- -1-.
– Disconnect the connector -2- from the antenna.
– Remove antenna -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
Antenna writing must point in direction of vehicle interior.
4.5 Tire Pressure Monitoring System Usage
Function:
The tire pressure monitoring system is operated using the MMI.
The system monitors the tire pressure you have set and entered
for monitoring.
– Tire pressures must first be checked, corrected and saved via
the MMI.
– Then check and correct the tire pressure for the tires on the
vehicle (including spare tire) according to the specifications on
the sticker on the fuel filler flap.
Code Tire Pressure Monitoring Control Module - J502- .
If Tire Pressure Monitoring Control Module - J502- is replaced,
new control module must be coded. To do this, proceed as fol‐
lows.
– Connect -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- and then perform vehicle-
specific entry into Guided Fault Finding and select Go To
button “function/component selection”, refer to
⇒ “2.6 Vehicle Diagnostic Tester , Connecting and Selecting
Functions”, page 211 .
