– With vehicles with air suspension, place vehicle on hoist, refer
to ⇒ “4 Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels”, page 10 .
– Remove wheel.
– Remove Rear Level Control System Sensor , refer to
⇒ “3.3 Left Rear Level Control System Sensor G76 and Right
Rear Level Control System Sensor G77 , Removing and In‐
stalling”, page 217 .
– If front upper control arm is to be replaced, remove bracket,
refer to -Item 23- ⇒ Item 23 (page 139) .
– Remove screw -4- and press rear upper control arm back
slightly.
– Remove screw -2-.
– Remove nut -1- and remove screw.
– Remove front upper control arm -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

♦ Bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent.
Only tighten suspension screws when vehicle is in curb weight
or control position.
♦ Wheel bearing, lifting to curb weight position on vehicles with
coil springs, refer to

♦ For vehicles with air spring suspension, lift wheel suspension
in control position, refer to
