– Remove the wheel.
– Remove wheel housing liner, refer to ⇒ Rep. Gr. 66 .
– Disconnect connector -1-.
– Remove screw -2- and Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor -
G341- and Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor - G342-
-3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
– Install Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor - G341- and Right
Front Body Acceleration Sensor - G342- screw -2- and tighten
to 8 Nm.
– Install wheel housing liner, refer to ⇒ Rep. Gr. 66 .
– Install wheel.
– Place vehicle on wheels, refer to
⇒ “4 Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels”, page 10 .
– Tighten the wheel, refer to ⇒ Rep. Gr. 44 .
– Check the body acceleration signal, refer to
⇒ “3.8 Body Acceleration Sensor, Checking Acceleration Sig‐
nal”, page 220 .
3.5 Rear Body Acceleration Sensor -
G343- , Removing and Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Torque Wrench 1783 - 2-10Nm - VAG1783-
Removing
– Remove the luggage compartment floor covering and the
compressor on the left side.
– On vehicles with 3 rows of seats, remove 3rd row ⇒ Rep. Gr.
72 .
– Disconnect connector -3-.
– Remove screw -1- and Rear Body Acceleration Sensor -2-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
– Install Rear Body Acceleration Sensor - G343- screw -1- and
tighten to 8 Nm.
– On vehicles with 3 rows of seats, install 3rd row ⇒ Rep. Gr.

– Check the body acceleration signal, refer to
⇒ “3.8 Body Acceleration Sensor, Checking Acceleration Sig‐
nal”, page 220 .
