Removing
Note
This procedure applies to replacement of residual pressure re‐
taining valve with suspension strut (air suspension) installed.
– Position the vehicle on the lifting platform and raise it until the
wheels rotate freely.
– Clean area around wiring connection.
– Remove air supply line and seal off connectors.
– Remove residual pressure retaining valve -1- with Pressure
Retention Socket - T10158/1- -2- from suspension strut (air
suspension).
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
– Tighten the residual pressure valve to 10 Nm using a Pressure
Retention Socket - T10158/1- .
– Fill suspension strut (air suspension) using -Vehicle Diagnos‐
tic Tester- , refer to
⇒ “3.9 System, Venting or Filling”, page 221 .
4.9 Crossmember, Removing and Installing
Removing
– Remove subframe, refer to
⇒ “2.2 Subframe, Removing and Installing”, page 125 .
– Remove left and right suspension strut -arrows- and remove
crossmember.
Installing
– Install subframe, refer to
⇒ “2.2 Subframe, Removing and Installing”, page 125 .
– Install the suspension strut on the crossmember and tighten
to 60 Nm.
