The aluminum coupling rod has
been replaced with a steel one. Do
not install both types together.
9 - Stabilizer Bar

10 - Self-Locking Nut
❑ 100 Nm
❑ Always replace if removed.
11 - Bolt
❑ 90 Nm + 120°
❑ Always replace if removed.
4.2 Air Suspension Strut, Removing and In‐
stalling
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Torque Wrench 1332 40-200Nm - VAG1332-
♦ Air Line Insert Tool - T10212-
♦ Wood block (hardwood) 30 x 50 x 1300 mm
Removing
Caution
• During assembly work, ensure no pressure points are cre‐
ated on suspension strut (air suspension) boot.
– With vehicles with air suspension, place vehicle on hoist, refer
to ⇒ “4 Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels”, page 10 .
– Remove wheel.
– Insert wood block between underbody -Arrow A- and upper
rear control arm -Arrow B-.
Wood block is needed to press wheel bearing housing down.
