Pressing Off
– Mount the tools as illustrated.
1 - Press Piece - Multiple Use - VW412-
2 - Sleeve - 3301/4-
3 - Upper Control Arm
4 - Press Piece - Multiple Use - VW426-
5 - Press Plate - VW401-
Pressing In
– Coat the outside of the bonded rubber bushing with some in‐
stallation lubricant, refer to the Parts Catalog.
– Mount the tools as illustrated.

2 - Bonded Rubber Bushing
3 - Upper Control Arm
4 - Assembly Tool - T10219/1-
5 - Press Plate - VW401-
– Continue to press the inner core of the bonded rubber mount
until the bead -arrow- slips out of the control arm.

2 - Drift - T10219/2-
3 - Upper Control Arm
4 - Assembly Tool - T10219/1- with the cutout upward toward
the control arm
5 - Press Plate - VW401-
– Install the upper control arm, refer to

page 53 .
