– Remove connector nut -1-, suspension strut to lower control
arm.
– Do not lower wheel bearing housing more than necessary.
– Remove screw -1- from lower control arm and remove sus‐
pension strut.
Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the
following:
Tightening specifications, refer to
⇒ “3.1 Coil Spring Suspension Strut, Upper Control Arm, Mount‐
ing Bracket, and Level Control System Sensor Overview”,
page 46 .
– Wheel bearing, lifting to curb weight position on vehicles with
coil springs, refer to
⇒ “1.4 Wheel Bearing in Curb Weight, Lifting Vehicles with Coil
Spring”, page 12 .
– Perform a basic setting on the headlamps if the vehicle has
automatic head lamp range control, refer to ⇒ Rep. Gr. 94 .
