– Press “SETUP” function button. “adaptive air suspension”
menu appears.
– Rotate control knob to “Trailer mode” and select “OFF” in order
to switch off trailer mode.
– Turn off the ignition.
More details about trailer mode, refer to the Owner's Manual.
2.5 Cargo Mode
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- with corresponding diagnostic ca‐
ble.
Cargo mode can only be activated and deactivated with -Vehicle
Diagnostic Tester- .
If cargo mode was activated, it is not possible to activate a differ‐
ent level using MMI.
Activating or deactivating
– Connect -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- and select functions, re‐
fer to
⇒ “2.6 Vehicle Diagnostic Tester , Connecting and Selecting
Functions”, page 211 .
Then
– “Chassis (Repair group 01; 40 - 49)”.
– “34 - Level control (Repair group 01: 43, 44)”.
– “01- On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems”.
– “34 - Level control system control module ”.
– “J197 - Activating or deactivating cargo mode”.

ing and Selecting Functions

♦ -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- with corresponding diagnostic ca‐
ble.
WARNING
♦ During a test drive, the testing and measuring equipment
must always be secured on the back seat.
♦ These devices may be operated only by a passenger dur‐
ing a test drive.
– Connect -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- with corresponding diag‐
nostic cable to vehicle.
– Switch -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- on.
-Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- is ready to operate when it displays
operating modes in button fields.
– Turn on the ignition.
