Note
The additional steering column
weight and mounting screws are not
shown. Refer to the specifications
below.
❑ Initial torque to 4 Nm
❑ Secondary torque to 8 Nm
❑ Quantity: 2
❑ Always replace if removed.
Tightening Sequence
– Tighten screws -1- to -4- to specified torque in sequence
shown.
– Then tighten nut -5- to specified torque.

♦ Hose Clip Pliers - VAS5024A-
♦ Special Screwdriver - T40056A-
Removing
Note
♦ The steering column is only delivered complete with the Ac‐
cess/Start Authorization Control Module - J518- as a replace‐
ment part. Service is not possible.
♦ If the steering column was replaced, then start program Ac‐
cess/Start Authorization Control Module - J518- - replace con‐
trol module - in -Vehicle Diagnostic Tester- .
