– Press drive axle off.
– Push drive axle as far as possible beyond rear final drive
flange -Arrow- so outer joint can be pulled out of wheel bearing
spline.
– Remove drive axle in -direction of arrow- between brake cable
and brake caliper. Pull control arm down slightly when doing
this.
Installing
– Clean outer joint and wheel hub splines.
– Produce a metallic surface and degrease splines of outer joint
and wheel hub.
– Before installing, coat drive axle splines with Assembly Paste .
– Coat contact surfaces of new 12-point nut with Assembly
Paste before installation.
– Install the outer joint as far as possible into the wheel hub
splines.
– Pull in drive axle until stop using Driveshaft Fitting Tool -
T10206- .
– Remove Driveshaft Fitting Tool - T10206- .
