Coil Spring. Removing
– Install special tools on wheel bearing housing as shown in il‐
lustration.

2 - Shock Absorber Set - Retainer SW7 - T10001/14-
3 - Shock Absorber Set - Reversible Ratchet - T10001/11-
4 - Shock Absorber Set - Socket - T10001/3-
5 - Spring Tensioner - VAS6046-
6 - Spring Support - VAS6046/3-
– When tensioning, ensure coil springs are seated correctly in
Spring Support - VAS6046/3- -arrow-.
– Pre-load coil spring until upper spring plate is free.
– Remove nut from piston rod and remove shock absorber
mount.
– Remove upper spring plate with protective sleeve and coil
spring with spring tensioner.
Coil Spring, Installing
– Insert upper washer -2- in upper spring plate -1-.
Raised point -arrow A- must align with recess -arrow B- for this.
– Tension coil spring with Spring Tensioner - VAS6046- and
Spring Support - VAS6046/3- .
– Make sure that coil spring is seated correctly in Spring Ten‐
sioner - VAS6046- -arrow-.
– Position coil spring with Spring Tensioner - VAS6046- on
spacer with rubber support.
