– Mark the position of the bonded rubber mount on the basis of
the slot -arrow- with respect to the upper control arm.
Pressing off
– Mount the tools as illustrated.

Pressing In
– Coat the outside of the bonded rubber bushing with some in‐
stallation lubricant, refer to the Parts Catalog.
– Mount the tools as illustrated.

4 - Assembly Tool - T10219/1-
5 - Press Plate - VW401-
– Continue to press the inner core of the bonded rubber mount
until the bead -arrow- slips out of the control arm.

3 - Upper Control Arm
4 - Assembly Tool - T10219/1- with the cutout upward toward
the control arm
5 - Press Plate - VW401-
