7.12 Installation procedure
DANGER!
Risk of fatal injury from elec
trical current!
Electrically live parts a
re life-threatening.
Therefore:
m Make
certain that the parts to be mounted (e.g. mains cables) and the mounting
areas are de-energized for the entire duration of mounting the device.
h Route
all cables in an EMC-compatible manner.
h Conn
ect cables (see ZConnection diagrams– as from page 143).
(Observe the permissible torques!)
h Fo
r all connections, attentions is to be paid to strain relief
The installation compris
es the following steps:
1 Co
nnect the motor through terminals 1U2, 1V2, 1W2 and PE.
Ensure the proper phases when connecting (rotational direction).
Observe the permissible torques!
NOTICE!
Internal overload protection operates exceeding 200 % of the motor rated current (full
load current).
2 Connect the DC link -
only for BM53XX, refer to ZMounting of the DC link bar– on
page 116
3 Con
nect fuses (F1) - not for BM53XX
(if UL 508C is being considered, the UL-listed se
miconductor or entire area fuses stat-
ed in Chapter ZFuses– as
from page 261 are to be used).
4 Connect
the main contactor - not for BM53XX
5 Connect
the line filters (Z1) - not for BM53XX.
6 Con
nect the choke (L1) to the mains filter output (not necessary for BM53XX).
7 Con
nect devices to the mains choke output via the mains input terminals 1U1, 1V1
and 1W1 - not with BM53XX.
The mains cable has to be laid through the toroidal cores to ensure an operation within
a
C2 environment (see also ZM
ounting of toroidal cores– as from page 119)
8 Con
nect the protective ground conductor to the PE terminal (a fixed ground conductor
connection is absolutely mandatory).
9 Con
nect 24 V power supply:
BM50XX, BM51XX, BM53XX via te
rminals X200 -1, X200 -2
(if UL 508C is being considered, then the current is limited to 4 A).
10 Con
nect the signal bus cable (see ZX300 (SELV/PELV)– as from page 170).
