5.4.3.6 Operation 26. Lubrication of coupling clutch shifter bearing
The operation of bearing lubrication is carried out only on tractors with coupling
clutch of lever-type installed (manufactured by OJSC “MTW”). When installing a dia-
phragm-type coupling clutch (made by EU), this operation is not required, since the dia-
phragm-type coupling clutch does not have a grease fitting on the shifter trunnion.
Note – When using grease “МС-1000 TU 0254-003-45540231-99”, the operation
should be carried out after each 500 hours of tractor operation.
In order to lubricate the shifter bearing of coupling clutch, do the following:
- unscrew plug 2 (fig. 5.4.25) on the left side of clutch housing 1;
- put the tip of grease gun into the opening;
- through the grease fitting, screwed into the shifter body for lubricating release bearing,
inject the grease four to six times as indicated in table 5.8.1.

ATTENTION: DO NOT INJECT EXCESS AMOUNT OF GREASE SINCE EXCES-
SIVE GREASE WILL BE ACCUMULATED INSIDE THE CLUTCH HOUSING AND CAN
GET ON FRICTION SURFACES OF FRICTION LININGS OF DRIVEN DISK!
5.4.3.7 Operation 27. Lubrication of bearings of pivot axles of FDA wheel gear groups
Note – When using grease “МС-1000 ТU 0254-003-45540231-99” the operation
should be carried out every 500 hours of tractor operation.
To lubricate bearings 3 of FDA pivot axles it is required to do the following:
- remove caps 1 (figure 5.4.26) from four grease fittings 2 of bearings 3;
- clear grease fittings 2 to remove dirt and dried grease;
- inject grease into grease fittings 2 by making four to six injections;
