ATTENTION: IT IS OBLIGATORILY REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT A FINAL CHECK
TO MAKE SURE THE SERVICE BRAKES CONTROL IS ADJUSTED CORRECTLY. THE
SERVICE BRAKE CONTROL SHALL BE CHECKED FOR CORRECT ADJUSTMENT BY
BRAKING OF THE TRACTOR WITH PEDALS INTERLOCKED. NON-LINEAR MOVE-
MENT IN THE BRAKING PROCESS SHALL NOT EXCEED 0.5 M. THE BRAKING PATH
SHALL NOT EXCEED 6 M AT THE SPEED OF 19 TO 21 KM/H UNDER THE FORCE OF
NO MORE THAN 600 N ON THE INTERLOCKED PEDALS. IF THESE CONDITIONS
ARE NOT MET IT IS REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT A REPEATED ADJUSTMENT OF
THE SERVICE BRAKE CONTROL (TO CHANGE THE VALUE OF THE PEDAL FULL
TRAVEL, BUT ONLY WITHIN THE LIMITS, SPECIFIED ABOVE, i.e. WHEN DE-
PRESSED WITH THE FORCE OF 120 TO 130 N, THE RIGHT BRAKE PEDAL FULL
TRAVEL SHALL STAY WITHIN 105 TO 115 MM, AND THE LEFT PEDAL FULL TRAVEL
SHALL BE 5 TO 20 MM LESS THAN THE RIGHT PEDAL FULL TRAVEL UNDER AP-
PLICATION OF THE SAME FORCE)!
It is not allowed to decrease the brake pedal full travel below the values specified in
clause 5.4.4.3, as it results in premature wear of linings and overheating of brakes.
5.4.4.4 Operation 34. Check / adjustment of parking brake control
ATTENTION: CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS OF THE PARKING BRAKE AS
WELL AS TROUBLESHOOTING SHALL BE PERFORMED WITH THE ENGINE OFF
AND THE TRACTOR PUT IN HORIZONTAL POSITION WITH CHOCKS UNDER THE
WHEELS WHICH EXCLUDE SPONTANEOUS TRACTOR MOVEMENT! ONLY DEAL-
ERS ARE ALLOWED TO PERFORM ADJUSTMENTS AS WELL AS TROUBLESHOOT-
ING OF THE PARKING BRAKE!
Check of the parking brake efficiency means that the tractor shall hold back on a
slope of not less than 18% as you apply the force of not more than 400 N to the parking
brake control lever. If this condition is not met it is required to carry out adjustment of the
parking brake control.
ATTENTION: ADJUSTMENT OF THE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL SHALL BE
CARRIED OUT AFTER CARRYING OUT THE ADJUSTMENT OPERATION OF THE
SERVICE BRAKE CONTROL!
Adjustment of the parking brake control of the tractor without pneumatic control sys-
tem for trailer brakes shall be carried out as follows:
- set parking brake control lever 1 (figure 5.4.36) into the front position (push);
- release locknut 2 of parking brake adjusting bolt 3;
