5.4.8.3 Operation 62. Replacing renewable filter cartridge of transmission hydraulic
system
It is necessary to replace the filter cartridge of the transmission hydraulic system fil-
ter 8 (figure 5.4.46) when the annunciator of transmission hydraulics filter dirtiness 2 (fig-
ure 2.12.1) located on the control panel for real axle DL, FDA and rear PTO drive, lights
up.
1 – spring; 2 – cup; 3 – filter cartridge; 4 – permanent magnet; 5 – filter housing;
6 – bushing; 7, 8 – sealing ring.

Change the replaceable filter cartridge in following order:
- after annunciator 2 (figure 2.12.1) operates, stop the engine and engage the park-
ing brake;
- unscrew cup 2 (figure 5.4.59) of the filter;
- remove dirty filter cartridge 3;
- remove metal particles from permanent magnet 4;
- place cleaned permanent magnet 4 on bushing 6;
- install sealing rings 7 and 8 and new filter cartridge 3;
- then place spring 1 into cup 2 and screw the cup into housing 5.
