2.1 Installing the Device Description
To be able to use the Uni-Probe LB 490 level measuring system
with FOUNDATION
™
Fieldbus, you have to import the device
description into your program. Then the measuring system LB 490
Level will be available below the manufacturer's name BERTHOLD
TECHNOLOGIES LB 490. You will get the device description
together with the Uni-Probe LB 490; it is also available on the Field-
bus Foundation website (http://www.fieldbus.org/).
Please read the respective program instructions for information on
how to proceed to import the device description.
2.2 Addressing the Uni-Probe LB 490 Level
System
The address is normally set automatically by the host system.
Please read the respective program instructions if you want to
change the address.
If you want to work with several Uni-Probes in the multi-detector
mode, please read section 5.2 on page 7–691.
