5 Calibration with SIMATIC PDM Volume 5
5.4 One-Point Calibration
One-point calibration is used if adjustment of the upper calibration
point is not possible and if complete absorption of the radiation by
a full tank is not expected. Prerequisite is that the isotope (Co-60
or Cs-137) has already been set up correctly (see page 5–494).
One-point calibration is carried out in five steps:
Select operating mode one-point calibration
Measure background
Empty calibration
Full calibration through automatic calculation using the tank
data.
Check calibration
The necessary steps will be explained in detail on the following
pages and in the proper order. For more information on the individ-
ual functions please refer to section 8.
Select the operating mode for one-point calibration (see
page 5–496).
5.4.1 Measure Background
Determine the background as described on page 5–499.
5.4.2 Empty Calibration
Perform the empty calibration as described on page 5–500.
5.4.3 Full Calibration
Select DEVICE CALIBRATION ADJUST UP. CAL.PT.
