5 Functional Processes
The following chapter describes the major functional process that
occur when working with the Uni-Probe.
5.1 Plateau Measurement
Before you run a measurement you have to define the measure-
ment parameters.
Go to the function block TRANSDUCER.
At LE_PLATEAU_SETUP under LE_START_HV, enter the start
value for the HV voltage.
At LE_PLATEAU_SETUP under LE_END_HV, enter the end value
for the HV voltage.
At
LE_PLATEAU_SETUP under LE_HV_STEP, enter the step
width for the HV voltage. During the measurement, the HV
voltage to be used will be incremented by this value for each
step, starting with the value
LE_START_HV.
IMPORTANT
The step width determines the number of value pairs. The larger
the step width, the lower the number of value pairs!
At LE_PLATEAU_SETUP under LE_ MEAS_TIME, enter the time
for measurement of a data point. The pulse rate is averaged
over this time.
Send the entries to the Uni-Probe.
The number of steps used is calculated by the Uni-Probe and
displayed in
LE_PLATEAU_DATA_NUMBER.
